DFL Energy is an energy broker. We compare electricity and natural gas offers from licensed retail suppliers on behalf of residential and commercial customers. Our registered address is 725 Blackhorse Trl, Severn, MD 21144.
Information we collect
To quote a rate we generally need:
- Contact details — name, email, phone, and the service address.
- Account information — your utility, account number, rate class and meter details, usually taken from a bill you send us.
- Usage history — consumption over the previous months, which determines the pricing tier you qualify for.
- Business details — for commercial accounts, the legal entity and the person authorised to sign.
We also collect standard technical data when you use this site, such as IP address, browser type and pages viewed.
How we use it
To obtain quotes from suppliers, to enrol you if you choose a plan, to service the account afterwards, to contact you ahead of a contract renewal, and to meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
Who we share it with
Retail energy suppliers, in order to quote and enrol your account. Your utility, where a switch requires it. Service providers who operate our systems under contract. And any party we are legally required to disclose to.
